Applicant privacy policy
Introduction
This privacy policy lets you know in detail how we look after the data we may have collected from you as part of your application for employment and any subsequent employment and how we use that data. It also explains your rights under current data protection law.

Information collected at application
When you apply for a position with us, we may collect your name, date of birth, address, telephone numbers and email address as well as information about your qualifications, experience, right to work in the UK and other employment. This is necessary to determine whether to offer you a position and by making an application you are asking us to make this determination.
If your application does not lead to the offer of a position, we retain the information for up to 6 months after the position has been filled.
If we make an offer of a position you accept, we will provide further information about how we use your data as an employee.
Your rights in relation to your data
As well as the right to ask us not to use your data for a particular purpose, you have a number of other rights:
You can ask us to let you know what information we hold about you and how that is being used. We will provide you with a copy of your personal information free. Additional copies may be subject to a reasonable administrative fee.
If you believe any of the information we hold about you is incorrect, you can ask us to change it. You can ask us to stop using your information whilst we check the accuracy of any information.
You can ask us to delete any information we hold about you. Depending on the reasons we hold the information it may not always be possible to delete your information but we will inform you if that is the case.
You can ask us to stop using your information whilst we look into any request to stop using your information for any of the purposes listed in this privacy policy.
We will try to deal all of your requests and concerns fairly and to your satisfaction but if you remain unhappy with how your data is handled or how we have dealt with your concerns you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office.
