2022 marks our 25th Birthday
This milestone is the perfect opportunity for us to celebrate both our story and our continued goal; to create quality, colourful and comfortable footwear that’s designed to make you, our customer, smile.
We’ll be marking the occasion all year long by taking you behind the scenes at Moshulu, exploring the history of the brand and celebrating our most popular styles over the years – we’ll also be throwing in a few exciting giveaways for good measure!

WHERE IT ALL BEGAN
Our story begins in 1974 when our founders, Henry and Jenny Fulls, purchased a footwear import business based in Woodbury, Devon. They successfully ran the business, alongside their three sons Darryl, Neal and Shaun, until they realised they could produce their own shoes that were not just good, but excellent!
So in 1997 the first Moshulu footwear designed in Devon was produced. Based in Honiton and surrounded by the countryside’s glorious green rolling hills, our independent family business has grown from our love of this county’s spirit. Devon is a beautiful place to think about creating smiles and every day it gives us the inspiration to create our colourful products.
A quarter of a century later, Moshulu is one of the UK’s leading footwear retailers, with 29 national stores and having become a brand known and loved by its customers for style, colour and comfort. Still a family business at heart, Chairman Henry Fulls is fondly referred to as dad by many.

We’ve grown our team from its family beginnings to over 120 staff, all of whom share the company’s passion for putting our customer first. As part of our 25th year, we’re shining a light on some of the special people who have helped make Moshulu what it is today. How long have you been part of the team? I have been part of the Moshulu Team since 2013, so 9 whole years! I started part-time only working Fridays whilst I was still at college as I was only 17, and then went full-time once I had finished college!
What's your role? I am the Retail and Communication Coordinator
The best part of working here? The best part of working here is the people. I've worked alongside most of the guys in retail and customer care for 8 years plus, so it's just like an extended family; and more like working with friends than colleagues.
Your favourite product? The snowman 3 slippers
What do you love about Devon? The best part of Devon is the beaches, and Devon Cream Teas (cream then jam!)

What do you love about Devon? I love visiting Devon as it reminds me of staying with my family in the summer holidays when I was young.

What's your role? As Social Media & PR Manager I spend my time creating content for Moshulu's social media pages, chatting to the press and influencers to see if they'd like to feature our products and also writing lots of product descriptions for our website.
The best part of working here? The beautiful views of the East Devon countryside from Head Office and the lovely people!
Your favourite product? I’ve got my eye on a pair of our new Fae sandals or the Omaha Waxy cork footbed sandals for summer!
What do you love about Devon? We have the countryside, moors, beaches and cities all on our doorstep - I couldn’t imagine living anywhere else.

What do you love about Devon? I love the beautiful, lush countryside of Devon.

What's your role? Footwear and Accessories Product Designer. I design and develop the ladies range aross all categories, from concept to production sign off. Footwear Design is my passion and favourite category.
The best part of working here? Designing with lots of colour and print
Your favourite product? I love the orange colour from SS22 and the materials and details on the AW Aimee boot.
What do you love about Devon? The pretty countryside.

Creative Marketing Assistant
How long have you been part of the team? I've been part of the team since November, so almost four months.
What's your role? My job title is Creative Marketing Assistant. This involves designing the visual merchandising for the stores, assisting with graphic design and photoshoots, while learning the ropes of marketing and SEO!
The best part of working here? I really enjoy how my day-to-day is always different, I get to work with loads of lovely people, and every day is learning something new.
Your favourite product? My favourite product has to be our men's Claudy slipper - I love the comfy natural cork, and the fact that it uses recycled felt.
What do you love about Devon? The beaches, moors, and cultural spots ... there's always new places to explore!

What's your role? I keep the place clean and tidy!
The best part of working here? Moshulu is such a friendly company - there is a loving atmosphere and I always feel a valued member of the team

What do you love about Devon? Devon is a wonderful place to live with plenty of things to do, beaches to visit, countryside to walk and lots of views to enjoy

What's your role? Managing Director, currently learning everything about Moshulu, our people and our customers with the goal to keep driving business forward in the coming years ahead.
The best part of working here? The view over the Devon Countryside from my office and the Moshulu team, made up of passionate, hardworking people who represent the brands values in everything they do
Your favourite product? It has to be our slippers! So many years of success behind our slipper range and our customers keep coming back for more every year. And personally for me? I love a good boot and wouldn't be without my trusty Crankshaft 2's!
What do you love about Devon? As a sun lover, there is nowhere better in the UK on a sunny day than the Devonshire coast in the summer months or a crisp winters walk across the moors

What's your role? I take care of the Marketing Team, supporting our growth and brand development.
The best part of working here? For me it's the brand! It's not only reflected in what we tell our customers, it's integral to our design process and reflected in the way we treat one another. It's totally immersive - but in a good way (we're not a cult!)
Your favourite product? Baba Slippers, they're perfect
What do you love about Devon? Devon for me, is a place of nostalgia. We visited my Nanny T here each year when I was a child, and now I'm lucky enough to call it home!

How long have you been part of the team? I first started working for Moshulu in the Looe store in 2017 until 2018. I absolutely loved it there from my very first day and soon became Supervisor. I only left because we moved to Devon but in 2019 I returned to the Moshulu family and started working in the Dartmouth store. From there I moved to the Totnes store, and it was when I was working there that I heard that a job was going in the accounts department. I’ve been studying AAT for the last three years and working at Head Office has always been a dream of mine, so I had to apply! I’ve now been at Head Office since September 2021.
What's your role? Finance Administrator in the Accounts Department :)
The best part of working here? The people. Coming to Head Office felt like I was being welcomed into a big family. Everyone is so friendly, cheerful and Moshulu-y!
Your favourite product? Probably Malia, because it is so instantly recognisable and it is just so Moshulu. I have a long list of things I want to buy from Moshulu, the next on my list are a pair of Harmonica and Tarazona for the summer.
What do you love about Devon? Dartmoor. I come from a small village in the middle of nowhere in South Wales so if I'm missing Wales, I like to go for a walk on Dartmoor. It's so beautiful and I love being surrounded by greenery.

The best part of working here? the lovely people and the panoramic view over the valley from the buying office.
Your favourite product? Hmm, that's tricky! It's going to have to be Malia 2 slippers as so many people love them and buy them again and again.
What do you love about Devon? Being close to the moors and the beach. Even driving to work is beautiful!
…and how could we forget our four brilliant directors, who along with their teams, have grown Moshulu to be the footwear brand that our loyal customers have known and loved for the past 25 years.
